Finally! My Facebook account is deleted.
My Facebook-Exit is a long story. I never really used it a lot. I used it mostly to have the possibility to contact some people. Especially from university when they went to other countries or so.
My first “exit feeling” was when I was wondering that I hadn’t seen anything from a colleague who went to Australia in my stream. – Until I checked his profile and saw that Facebook just decided to hide his news! This was probably the moment when I lost trust in the system.
Well, fast forward. I never became a heavy user of Facebook and almost never used Facebook messenger. I did one small attempt in getting some visibility for my photography, but gave that up very soon. I admitted to myself that success there would only be achieved with a lot of time.
Well and a couple of months ago I decided that I don’t use Facebook any more. I posted according updates and offered to send contact details to all friends there to stay in touch. – No reaction.
I requested the deletion of the account, waited for a month – and noticed that the account wasn’t deleted.
The second attempt was successful though! My account is gone, finally!
