On Mastodon, I just came across “I Went All-In on AI. The MIT Study Is Right.” from Josh Anderson. He spent three months building a product using only AI-generated code. The result? A working product, but also a dangerous realization: He no longer fully understood his own creation. When a small change was needed, he hesitated.
I found it a good read because he really tried going all in and experienced the midterm downsides. But also he doesn’t recommend to abondon all tools but use them wisely to grow.
The formula should be AI + HI, where HI (Human Intelligence) is larger than AI. What’s actually happening in those 95% of failures? It’s AI with a tiny bit of human oversight, if any.
Josh Anderson
And he also addresses the problem of a genaration growing up with a – maybe – too large trust in AI tools.
